Coaching Information
All head coaches and assistant coaches are required to complete the following:
- State-Mandated Background Check through IdentoGO fingerprinting. Valid for 3 years. Schedule your appointment at https://uenroll.identogo.com/workflows/2F1J3Y. Contributor Case #C08001. Mansfield Township will reimburse Mansfield coaches for the fingerprinting fee. Please send your receipt and purchase order (under forms) to recreation@mansfieldtwp.com.
- Rutgers SAFETY Clinic. This three hour virtual course will be scheduled through Mansfield Township Recreation prior to each season. Open registration will be sent via email. One-time attendance only. Coaches who have already obtained this certification will not need to attend again.
- CDC Heads Up Concussion Training. This free online course is required to understand, recognize, and prevent concussions in adolescent athletes. Coaches can register and complete this course at https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/training/index.html. Completion certificate must be forwarded to Recreation for record of attendance. One-time attendance only.
- BASEBALL/SOFTBALL ONLY - Babe Ruth League Coaching Certification. This online course teaches fundamental coaching concepts and responsibilities of youth baseball and softball to help ensure Babe Ruth League coaches have the knowledge and tools needed to provide athletes with a safe and positive experience. Coaches can register and complete this course at https://coacheducation.humankinetics.com/collections/247. Completion certificate must be forwarded to Recreation for record of attendance. Mansfield Township will reimburse Mansfield coaches for the course fee.
