Make a positive impact on the lives of those in need and become a community hero.

Join Mansfield Township Ambulance Corps Emergency Medical Services Cadet Program and become a crucial part of the lifesaving team! This unique opportunity is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping others, eager to learn, and ready to take on the challenges of emergency medical services.

Mansfield Township Ambulance Corps recognizes the need to recruit young people into the field of Emergency Services. It is the intention of this EMS Cadet Program to recruit, train and mentor these individuals. As volunteer members of the Ambulance Squad, Cadets will receive real-world experience with practical, hands-on training in emergency medical procedures, learning from experienced EMS professionals and developing essential skills for a rewarding career.

Cadets will receive in-house training, including:

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR.
  • American Heart Association or equivalent First Aid Course.
  • Pathogen Training.
  • HIPAA Training.
  • Learn and understand the role of the 911 system.
  • Basic radio operation and communications.
  • Equipment location and proper use.
  • Stretcher operations.

  • Various lifesaving and life preserving measures.

While Cadets will respond to some emergencies with EMTs, they are heavily restricted on what types of calls they will go on. Cadets will NOT perform duties that would expose them to the same degree of hazard as an experienced EMT.
