LEAF BAGS ARE NOW AVAILABLE:
The Public Works’ Department is now handing out leaf bags. You can acquire leaf bags (10 bags per day/per household) on Saturday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12 Noon at the Recycling Yard at the Municipal Complex (located straight back from the entrance off of Route 206) which is on the Fire Company side of the Complex. You may also pick up bags, Monday through Friday, from 9;00 AM to 4:30 PM in the FINANCE/TAX Office.
The Public Works employee will come around a few times a week picking up your filled bags beginning October 18th through December 1st. There will be no set pick up days. THERE IS A FEE OF $55.00 PER TOTER OVER AND ABOVE THE FIRST TOTER THAT IS PROVIDED TO Y OU BY THE TOWNSHIP. PLEASE NOTE, THAT ALL TOTERS ARE THE PROPERTY OF MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP AND ARE REQUIRED TO REMAIN AT THE PROPERTY/RESIDENCE PERMANENTLY. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TAKEN/REMOVED SHOULD YOU MOVE FROM THAT PROPERTY. EVERY TOTER HAS A SPECIFIC NUMBER IDENTIFICATION WHICH IS ASSIGNED TO EACH PROPERTY/RESIDENCE.

The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining the Township’s infrastructure, garbage collection, recycling and road repairs.
The Public Work’s Department has the responsibility of maintaining all Township owned buildings and grounds facilities, streets, roads, parks, equipment and vehicles. It additionally takes care of recycling of metal items along with items containing Freon. For the convenience of residents, the Department maintains a recycling yard, located at the Municipal Complex, 3135 Route 206 South. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday morning (garbage bags only). Residents may also bring to the yard, bottles, cans, used oil, cardboard paper and metal products. Covered electronics along with hazardous waste must be disposed at the county landfill, 609-499-1001.
