Delaware River Heritage Trail Project & Road ClosuresPosted on June 24th, 2019
The County of Burlington will be sponsoring the creation of the Delaware River Heritage Trail that will consist of a 5.13 mile long asphalt path through the municipalities of Florence, Mansfield, and Bordentown. The work is anticipated to begin on or around July 1, 2019, and is expected to take approximately 1 year to complete.
In order to facilitate the project, bridge reconstruction will take place on Route 130 and drainage improvements will need to be installed on Old York Road. Accordingly, traffic will be affected in these areas as follows:
– A long-term lane closure will take place from Mile Post 53.4 to 53.7 northbound on Route 130. For the duration of construction, there is expected to be only one lane of active traffic between these posts.
– Old York Road will be closed to thru traffic between Kinkora Road and Axe Factory Road during the installation of drainage improvements.
